Ramzy Ajem Attends National Chaplaincy Conference in Ottawa

OTTAWA — The National Chaplaincy Conference 2011 took place on June 27th and 28th, 2011 in Ottawa, Canada. The conference, hosted by the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), was attended by Razi’s Director of Curriculum Development, Ramzy Ajem.

The conference brought together over 120 chaplains from across Ontario. Mr. Ajem also serves as a Chaplain with CSC where he provides support for prison staff and counselling services for Muslim inmates.

The next National Chaplaincy Conference will take place in 2014.

About CSC — The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) provides chaplaincy services to offenders and staff, both in penitentiaries and in the community. CSC contracts out these services with Canada’s faith communities, predominately the Roman Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, and Buddhist faiths.
