TORONTO — Dr. Nadeem Memon (Director of Education, Razi) was the keynote speaker at the Ontario Association for Islamic Schools (OAIS) professional development program that took place at ISNA High School in Mississauga, Ontario on Friday October 21st, 2011.
Islamic school teachers from Cambridge, London, Niagara, Hamilton, and Oakville were in attendance.
Dr. Memon spoke about on the topic of ‘Discipline with Dignity’ and the importance of professional development. The workshop covered topics from the Islamic Teacher Education Program (ITEP).
About ITEP – The Islamic Teacher Education Program (ITEP) is an online professional development program designed specifically for full-time teachers in Islamic schools. The program was developed by Razi in collaboration with the University of Toronto's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).
About OAIS – The Ontario Association of Islamic Schools (OAIS) is an organization that oversees over 50 Islamic schools in Ontario.
